Australia maximum weekly hours: is 38 hours the limit?
For national-system employees, Fair Work says the National Employment Standards set a maximum of 38 hours a week for full-time employees unless additional hours are reasonable. Employees can refuse additional hours if they are unreasonable, considering factors such as health and safety, personal circumstances, notice, overtime compensation and workplace needs.
