Australia unpaid wages: is there a time limit for a Fair Work small claim?

Fair Work says an application for a small claims proceeding must generally be made within 6 years of the date of the contravention. Small claims can cover underpayments such as base rates, penalty rates, allowances, leave entitlements, unlawful deductions and some unpaid superannuation claims.
