Australia workplace discrimination: what counts as adverse action?
Fair Work says adverse action can include dismissal, changing a job to an employee’s disadvantage, denying legal entitlements, treating someone differently, or refusing employment. It may be unlawful if the reason is a protected attribute such as disability, pregnancy, age, sex, race, family or carer responsibilities, or other protected grounds.
