England & Wales personal injury: what is the usual limitation period?
The Limitation Act 1980 generally gives a 3-year limitation period for a personal-injury action, running from the date the cause of action accrued or, if later, the date of knowledge of the injured person. Exceptions can apply, so people should not wait until the deadline is close. Official source: Limitation Act 1980, section 11. Guide: https://getinstantlaw.com/uk/topics/personal-injury-negligence
