Florida used car dealer problem — what should I organise before filing a complaint?
If a Florida used-car dealer dispute is not resolved directly, organise the transaction record before filing a complaint: the bill of sale, advertisement, Buyers Guide if provided, warranty or “as is” terms, vehicle-history material, inspection or diagnostic records, repair invoices, payment or deposit records, title/registration documents and all dealer messages. FLHSMV says it investigates consumer complaints against motor vehicle dealers through its field operations and provides a Consumer Complaint Form that includes motor vehicle dealer complaints. Depending on the facts, the Florida Attorney General’s consumer complaint route may also be relevant to deceptive or unfair practices. A complaint or investigation does not itself guarantee a refund, cancellation or repair.
