NSW dealer finance: do I get a cooling-off period on a used car?

Sometimes. NSW Government says a one-day, waivable cooling-off period applies when a new or used vehicle is bought from a dealership using dealer-linked finance. The period usually runs until 5pm on the next business day the dealer is open. It does not apply to every car purchase, so check whether the finance was provided, arranged or facilitated by the dealer and whether you waived the right.
