NSW dividing fence dispute: do I need to send a Fencing Notice?
If you and your neighbour cannot agree on fencing work or contribution, a Fencing Notice is the formal first step under the NSW Dividing Fences Act process. If one month passes after the notice and there is still no agreement, either party can apply to the Local Court or NCAT for a fencing order. Official source: Legal Aid NSW.
