NSW used car dealer says “warranty expired” — does that end my consumer rights?

Not necessarily. A NSW dealer guarantee can have a defined time or distance limit, but Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees are separate automatic rights for vehicles bought from a licensed dealer. Whether a repair, replacement or refund is available depends on the problem and whether the failure is major or minor.
