The important rules, in plain English.
Full terms remain below. Last updated: 4 October 2026
The website, JEZ AI assistant, documents, source links, summaries, checklists, deadline tools and other features provide general legal information and reference material only. They do not constitute legal advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional who understands your particular circumstances.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using GetInstantLaw.com, creating an account, asking JEZ AI a question, purchasing a paid feature or using any generated document or information, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Information and reference service only
GetInstantLaw.com is an information technology service designed to help users understand legal topics, locate potentially relevant sources and organise possible next steps. Nothing on the service creates a lawyer-client, solicitor-client, attorney-client, fiduciary or professional advisory relationship.
No communication with JEZ AI or GetInstantLaw.com is legally privileged merely because it is submitted through the service.
3. Artificial intelligence limitations
JEZ AI uses artificial intelligence and automated systems. AI can misunderstand facts, omit relevant law, misinterpret a source, provide incomplete information or make mistakes. Laws, regulations, procedures, forms, fees and deadlines can also change without notice.
You are responsible for independently checking important information before acting on it.
4. Seek qualified legal advice
You should seek advice from a qualified lawyer or authorised legal professional before making an important legal decision, signing or terminating an agreement, commencing or defending proceedings, admitting liability, settling a dispute, responding to court documents, or taking action involving significant money, property, employment, immigration, family matters, criminal matters, safety or legal rights.
If a matter is urgent or a limitation period, filing deadline, hearing date or response date may apply, contact an appropriate lawyer, court, tribunal, regulator or government agency promptly. Do not rely solely on GetInstantLaw.com to calculate or protect a legal deadline.
5. Jurisdiction and local law
Law differs between countries, states, provinces, territories and legal systems. Although GetInstantLaw.com asks for jurisdiction information and attempts to use relevant sources, you remain responsible for confirming that information applies to your actual location, transaction and circumstances.
6. Sources and authority labels
GetInstantLaw.com may link to legislation, courts, tribunals, regulators, government agencies, legal databases and other external sources. Labels such as primary law, court source, official authority, regulator or secondary reference describe the type or provenance of a cited source. They do not mean GetInstantLaw.com has independently certified a legal conclusion, and they do not guarantee that a particular page is current, complete or applicable to your circumstances.
Important rights, duties, deadlines, penalties and remedies should be checked against the cited authority before you act. External websites are controlled by third parties, and GetInstantLaw.com is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content or changes.
7. Generated documents
Letters, notices, checklists, forms, templates and other documents generated by the service are starting points for reference and convenience. They may require changes to be legally effective or suitable for your circumstances. You should review important documents carefully and obtain professional advice where appropriate before sending, signing, filing or relying on them.
8. User information
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information you provide. Do not submit passwords, banking credentials or information you are not authorised to disclose. Inaccurate or incomplete facts can materially change a legal outcome.
9. No guaranteed outcome
GetInstantLaw.com does not guarantee any legal outcome, recovery, settlement, court result, regulatory decision, response from another party, or success from following any suggested step or generated document.
10. Paid services, Matter access and retention
Some features require payment. Consumer Matter products including Action, Progress and Progress Plus are one-time purchases for the selected Matter and do not automatically renew. Get Instant Complete is also a one-time consumer Matter purchase. It combines GetInstantLaw Progress Plus, GetInstantProof Complete and GetInstantResolve Progress Plus for that Matter, with included access launched from the Complete Matter journey rather than requiring a second Proof or GetInstantResolve payment.
The active paid-support period is 90 days from the Matter's first paid tier or, for a Matter first activated through Get Instant Complete, from that Complete activation. Where an eligible individual GetInstantLaw Matter tier is upgraded during its active period, checkout may charge only the difference between the tier already purchased and the higher individual Law tier selected; upgrading does not restart the original 90-day support period. Get Instant Complete is a separate three-product family purchase. Any credit from an earlier individual Matter purchase applies only if the checkout expressly shows that credit before payment.
Website and mobile-app billing. Website purchases may be processed by Stripe. Purchases made inside a native GetInstantLaw app may instead be processed through Apple App Store or Google Play billing. Where a store processes the purchase, its checkout, receipt, cancellation, restoration and refund mechanisms may also apply. GetInstantLaw does not turn a one-time retail Matter purchase into a recurring consumer subscription merely because it is bought in an app; any recurring product must be clearly identified as recurring before purchase. Get Instant Complete is currently purchased through the website checkout unless an app-store Complete product is expressly offered.
Free and paid Matter records are not automatically deleted merely because a 90-day period has passed. Saved Matters may remain available for account continuity and review, subject to legitimate account administration, fraud prevention, legal or record-keeping requirements, and any verified deletion request that applies. A privacy or deletion request can be made through the Contact page using the Privacy request option.
Reseller and White Label are recurring monthly subscriptions and continue until cancelled in accordance with the billing options made available through the service. Enterprise arrangements may use separately agreed commercial terms. The recurring billing amount and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Cancellation does not necessarily entitle a user to a refund for a billing period or feature already supplied, except where required by applicable law.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, misuse another person's information, impersonate another person, automate abusive requests, or use generated material to facilitate fraud, harassment or other unlawful conduct.
12. Community and user-generated content
The Community is a public discussion area. Do not post confidential Matter information, passwords, payment details, exact addresses, case numbers, children's identifying information or material you are not authorised to publish. You must not use Community features for harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, spam, cold solicitation, unlawful content, misleading claims presented as personalised legal advice, sexual or nude content, sexual content involving minors, graphic violence or gore, illicit or violent wrongdoing, or instructions that encourage self-harm.
Community text and images may be safety-screened before publication. Video posts are held for moderator review before they become public. You can report a public post for moderator review and block another Community member from further interaction with you. We may hide or remove content, restrict accounts or preserve records where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, protect users or meet legal obligations. Reporting or moderation does not mean GetInstantLaw has verified the truth or legal accuracy of a post.
13. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, models, pricing, jurisdictions, sources or availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
14. Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GetInstantLaw.com is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. You remain responsible for decisions you make and actions you take based on information obtained through the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer or other mandatory law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service develops or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
16. Important final reminder
Use GetInstantLaw.com as a reference and information tool. For legal advice about your specific situation, rights, obligations, deadlines or strategy, consult a suitably qualified legal professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
